Moab UTV Tour FAQ's

Booking

How do I book a tour?

We make our booking as easy and secure as possible. Just click any of our “Book Now” buttons and follow the links to complete your reservation or better yet, call us. 435-355-3195 We are eager to help you find your best adventure.

What's your cancellation policy?

We understand that plans change, and we want to give you flexibility when they do. Our standard 48-hour cancellation policy lets you cancel or reschedule your tour with confidence.

Cancellations or reschedule requests made 48 hours or more before your scheduled departure time receive a full refund. You can reach us any way that works for you. Send an email, reply to your confirmation email, or give us a call at 435-260-2206. If we do not pick up or it is after hours, leave a voicemail. We will respond to your email or voicemail so you know your cancellation or schedule change was received and processed.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of your scheduled departure time are not eligible for a refund. We will do our best to accommodate an alternative tour time, subject to availability.

If we need to cancel your tour due to circumstances such as extreme weather, safety concerns, or insufficient reservation numbers, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.

No-shows and cancellations made after the scheduled departure time are not eligible for a refund or rescheduling.

Reschedule requests are treated as a cancellation and new booking and follow the timelines above. Requests to remove vehicles or downgrade from a 4-capacity vehicle to a 2-capacity vehicle are also treated as a cancellation and new booking.

The 48-hour cancellation policy does not apply to private tours or group tours. Terms for those bookings are discussed and agreed upon when we finalize your itinerary.

Two optional protection plans may be available at checkout for added flexibility. Both are non-refundable and offered for additional purchase when you finalize your reservation. Availability depends on the tour you select.

Travel Protection is not insurance, but it offers strong flexibility for protecting your purchase if your plans change. It includes Cancel or Change For Any Reason (CFAR) reassurance with just 4 hours of notice, compared to our standard 48-hour policy. When selected, you may cancel your reservation for any reason and receive a full refund, less the Travel Protection fee, up to 4 hours before your tour departure time. Changes to your reservation, including date, time, or number of vehicles or participants, will also be honored up to 4 hours before departure, subject to availability.

Tripsafe is the most flexible option we offer. With Tripsafe, the cancellation and change window shortens to just 1 hour before your scheduled departure time. You may cancel your reservation for any reason and receive a full refund, less the Tripsafe fee, up to 1 hour before your tour departure time. Reservation changes, including date, time, or number of vehicles or participants, are honored on the same 1-hour window, subject to availability.

If you want maximum peace of mind for last-minute changes, Tripsafe is the right pick. If you prefer a lower-cost flexibility upgrade and a wider buffer, Travel Protection covers most plan changes well. The standard 48-hour policy is built in at no additional cost on every booking.

Tours

Can I drive the 4x4?

You can absolutely drive our UTVs. That’s exactly what they are for. Our guide is there to ensure you don’t get lost on the trail and help you tackle the obstacles like a pro. You must be a licensed driver 18+ for our tours and 25+ for our rentals.

Can we switch off drivers on our UTV You-Drive tour?

Yes, all licensed drivers 18+ may take turns driving throughout the tour. We make stops at several points of interest along the way, which provides plenty of opportunity for switching drivers. Driver changes do occur at your guide’s discretion. Your guide will let you know when it’s safe and appropriate to switch drivers while on the trail.

What languages are your tours offered in?

All of our tours are conducted in English. For safety, all drivers on our You-Drive UTV Tours must be able to hear and understand English clearly enough to receive and follow instructions from our guide. All drivers must also be able to speak English clearly enough to communicate with our guide that they understand and will follow instructions or alert our guide if they require assistance or have concerns during the ride. Whether or not a guest is able to communicate effectively enough to participate will be at the discretion of our guide. If we determine that your safety is at risk due to any communication concerns, we will do our best to offer an alternative to driving. These cases will not be grounds for a refund, however. If you are unsure whether or not you meet this requirement, please contact us before you make your reservation.

Can I use my own UTV on your tours?

Yes! We are happy to provide a tour for you in your personal UTV, but this would be restricted to a private experience. Your UTV must be properly equipped and set up for your trail choice and terrain. Please call us to discuss.

Pricing starts at $250 + $99/hour for a single UTV and $50/hour for each additional UTV in your group.

Are there ways to join your tours without driving a UTV?

Yes. If you would like to join our tours but do not wish to drive a UTV, you may be able to ride with our guide on a group UTV adventure or you can join us for our popular private tour, K4 Experience. Give us a call and let us know what you’d like to do, and we will do our best to find a solution for you: (435) 220-2653.

Can I request a specific trail?

If you have a trail in mind that is not listed in our trail portfolio, please contact us for a private tour. We’d love to help you plan your own epic adventure! 435-260-2206

Logistics

What time do I need to arrive for my You-Drive tour?

Your confirmation email includes important details about when and where to arrive—please read it carefully. For most tours, we ask guests to arrive 15 minutes before the listed start time to allow for smooth check-in and gear fittings. Completing waivers in advance ensures everything runs on time. Think of it like catching a flight: arriving early helps everything go smoothly, and late arrivals may forfeit their spot without a refund. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!

What happens if it is raining?

We love the rain and find that rain can make the area even more beautiful. We operate rain or shine and love waterfall chasing whenever the opportunity presents itself! However, in cases of extreme weather that requires us to cancel, we will offer you the opportunity to reschedule or receive a refund.

Our adventures are sure to be among the highlights of your visit to Moab. We recommend planning your ride with us early in your stay for opportunity to reschedule if weather does become a factor. Not only that, but you’ll be spending at least a few hours with a local guide. They love giving tips on other things to do while you are here. We think hanging out with us early in your visit can help make the rest of your stay even better.

How physically fit do I need to be?

We welcome all fitness levels on our tours! You will be riding in or driving a well-equipped vehicle, and no walking is required. However, there are places where the best views are located a short walk away. While these extra treks are optional, we think they enhance the ride and we hope you can join us for these opportunities to see unique views.

What is your operating season

Our operating season is generally the first part of March through Thanksgiving weekend each year, November 2026 and reopen March 2027. Weather and other factors may allow us to open our season early or force our season to end early. Our calendar is always up to date and accepting reservations.

How many people can I fit into one vehicle?

Our fleet consists of 2 and 4 and 5 seat vehicles. Availability for the 5-seater is exclusive to our Moab Discover Tour.

What should I bring on my tour? How should I prepare?

We recommend bringing sunglasses, a hat, a camera, and a jacket. We require closed-toe shoes for all riders. You may wish to apply sunscreen prior to your ride and also bring it with you for added protection. We recommend dressing in layers as the temperatures can fluctuate especially for our sunset rides and in early spring and late fall. Finally, we make good on our promise for adventure. Make sure you eat a good meal before joining us!

Do you have a shuttle?

Epic 4X4 Adventures does not have a shuttle service but Moab offers a free transit service. Moab Area Transit (MAT) is a fare-free, transit service. Service runs on a schedule with pre-determined routes and stops or on-demand, door-to-door service. Download the MAT App on your phone to schedule rides or call them at 833-628-3733. To learn more visit Moab City website.

Do you have parking?

Epic 4X4 Adventures offers parking at our location. Can accommodate moderately sized motorhomes but if you are traveling this way, we suggest arriving early so we can help get you parked before our lot fills up.

Miscellaneous

Are these tours safe?

Absolutely. We are proud to bring you Moab’s safest side-by-side fleet. Epic 4×4 Adventures’ custom performance roll cages exceed manufacturers’ bolt-together safety standards. We equip vehicles with front and rear bumpers as well as rock rails to protect soft plastic body panels that can give way. You will have a left and right side mirror with an upgraded center rearview mirror that offers a wide radius view. We equip each UTV with 6-point, OEM safety harnesses. Lastly, our tour fleet is impeccably maintained and exclusively used for guided tours. That means our vehicles have never been out of our sight. While we tackle the tough trails, we do so with skill that we pass along to our guests. You can be sure that your vehicle has not been “driven like a rental” at any time throughout its life.

Do I need to sign a participant agreement?

Yes, all riders must sign a Participant Agreement and  a Polaris Adventures manufacturer waiver. Riders younger than 18 years of age must have it signed by a parent or guardian. Riders younger than 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Is tipping our guides customary?

Our guides work hard to keep you safe and ensure great guest experiences. They strive to help you create memories and stories you’ll share for years to come. Adding a gratuity lets your guide know they did a good job and you had a great time. Tipping is not mandatory and we never add a gratuity to our public tours. Our guides, however, strive to earn a gratuity and are appreciate when you feel they’ve earned it too.

Can my pet come on the tour?

We love our pets too but our 4X4 tours are just not the place for them. We do not have seats or harnesses to keep them safe.
